Built by someone who's been on both sides of the counter.
Actual Tailoring exists because the alteration workflow is broken - and the person who built it worked in retail long enough to know exactly where it breaks.
Clothing should fit. Getting there shouldn't require three trips, a sticky note, and a phone call nobody makes.
Actual Tailoring was built by a clothing designer and former retail worker who kept running into the same problem: jeans that needed hemming, no time to go in person, and no good way to hand off the information once you finally did. The retail background made the retailer-tailor disconnect obvious. The rest came from asking what a system built for all three people in that chain would actually look like. This is that system.
