Actual Tailoring ("we," "us," or "our") operates the platform at actualtailoring.com and related portals (customer, retail, and tailor). This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

We collect information you give us directly when you create an account or use the platform:

• Name, email address, and account credentials
• Body measurements and fit preferences (customers only)
• Business name, address, and contact details (retailers and tailors)
• Order history and garment specifications

We also collect limited technical data automatically - including your device type, browser, IP address, and how you navigate the platform - to keep things working and improve the experience.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the platform (routing orders, sharing fit profiles with authorized retailers and tailors)
• Communicate with you about your account, orders, and updates
• Improve the product based on how people use it
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Who sees your measurements

Fit profile data - your measurements and garment preferences - is only shared with retailers and tailors you have an active relationship with on the platform. You control which retailers can access your profile. When you remove a retailer connection, their access to your fit data ends.

Tailors only receive measurement data relevant to a specific order assigned to them. They do not have free access to your full profile history.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure via Firebase. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Firestore security rules, and authenticated access controls.

No system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and contact us immediately at hello@actualtailoring.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your rights

You can request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing hello@actualtailoring.com.

Deletion requests are processed within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law or to resolve disputes.

Cookies

We use localStorage to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode) and authentication state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
